PDO Threads

PDO (polydioxanone) is a synthetic and biocompatible material. Typically, it’s inserted beneath the targeted facial tissues to provide an instant facelift. PDO threads reverse any signs of aging by stimulating collagen production.

Types of PDO threads

PDO threads are divided into the following types:

1. Barbed threads

Barbed threads contain barbs and are designed to lift droopy skin tissues. The results are instant and effective and improve gradually as collagen secretion increases.

2. Smooth threads

Smooth threads lack barbs and are inserted into the sagging tissue in a grid pattern. The threads improve skin firmness by encouraging collagen production.
